Enforcer Door Beam Chime

5 out of 5 stars

I installed this device in my wifes shop where it has run without any problems for the last 12 months. I have recomended it to a friend and am about to buy another one. Very Happy.

Not Reliable

1 out of 5 stars

Unit does not operate 100% consistant unless you are less than 1 meter apart. Its not very good .

Simple and easy to use

5 out of 5 stars

We used this unit across the entrance of the shop. The speaker had a long extension cable, which was a little messy looking, but I guess practical. The IR beam distance was fine (~3m), so no issue. Apparently these beams have an issue with natural sunlight, so if it's in the open, maybe consider an alternative.

Door beam alarm

I first bought this unit a couple of years ago and had it setup in the driveway but every time the sun got anywhere near the reflector it went haywire. I put it back in the box for a couple of years but because of the amount of break ins lately I decided to set it up on the back veranda but the speaker wouldn't work so I got a new one, set it up worked wonderfully til the sun came up. The unit is not in direct sunlight but as soon as the sun came over the horizon it would start beeping. I have tried resetting it, using string lines and levels, no luck. I think that if you wanted to use it indoors it maybe ok but where there is any chance of sunlight forget it.
