Customer Service Officer

Radio Parts is within walking distance from Southern Cross and North Melbourne stations. Parking is available on-site.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with the ability to learn quickly, a tough work ethic, a positive attitude and an ability to establish a good rapport with customers and workers.

The Role

  • Taking inbound calls from new and existing customers
  • Make outbound calls regarding orders placed
  • Respond to web and product enquiries
  • Key orders into the system for processing
  • Complete sales quotations
  • Process credits and RMAs
  • Work as a part of a tight knit team
  • Liaise with various internal departments, national sales team and provide support with business queries

The Skills

  • You must have proven phone based customer service experience 
  • General interest in the consumer electronics industry will be viewed highly and is a bonus
  • Must have exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
  • Be tech savvy with intermediate to advanced computer skills
  • Outstanding organisation skills, attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong accountability and follow through is essential
  • You will have the ability to problem solve and be capable of managing multiple tasks

About the Role

We have been in the consumer electronics industry for over 80 years and have an established reputation and a loyal customer base. We pride ourselves in our knowledge and level of customer care.

We would welcome any applicant that can demonstrate great work ethic and attitude. The ideal candidate would have prior retail experience, preferably in a fast-paced busy environment. A general interest in consumer electronics and technology is a bonus.

The successful applicant will undergo a training period where time will be split between the showroom and order assembly. This allows you to be familiar with the sales floor while also becoming familiar with the product range and inventory systems.

This is a full-time Monday to Friday position, 40 hours per week with one Rostered Day Off (RDO) per month.

To be eligible for this opportunity, you MUST be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.


Starting salary package is $42.5K base, plus 9.5% super.
Following a successful 6 month probationary period your salary increases to $45K base + 9.5% super.

During the probationary period, performance will be monitored on a regular basis. A police check is a requirement if the position is offered.
