Our COVID-19 Update

We want to do our part to help you stay as informed as possible during this period where all of us around the world are going through an unprecedented period.

As Radio Parts, we are trying to do our best to help prevent the spread of infection. Our primary goal beyond that is to have as minimal disruption to our business and to your needs as possible.

Beyond ensuring the government and medical experts advice relating to hygiene and social distancing we will have a variety of measures in place until further notice. The following aims to answer most questions, however, we are more than happy to answer any enquiry that you may have. Our contact us page has all the details for you to reach us. We will have extra staff on the ready to answer phone or email enquiries.

Active Notices

  • Following the announcements made by the Victorian government today, we are planning on opening our showroom to the public on Wednesday the 4th of November.
  • Although Melbourne has now entered stage 4 restrictions, we are still open for business and continue to fulfil your orders online or over the phone!
  • Our showroom remains closed for general public browsing.
  • Contactless click and collect is now available
  • All Melbourne metro orders over $49 are now free freight and shipped express.
  • We are back to full staff operation as of Monday the 27th of April.

  • [7:53pm] With stage 4 restrictions about to take hold and affecting most industries and businesses, we are fortunate enough to continue to operate in the same manner as we have been for the majority of this pandemic. Which means our showroom will continue to be closed for public access and we will exclusively deliver online or phone orders. At this stage we are not offering store pick-up or click and collect options.

  • [12:23pm]As the worrying increase in the number of cases in Melbourne continues to rise and the stage 3 restrictions, we have decided to close our showroom completely for public access.
    We’re fully committed to ensuring the ongoing health and safety, not just of our team, but for you, your friends, and families too. To that end and due to the current restrictions for the greater Melbourne area, unfortunately, we will be closing our showroom to all public starting Monday the 13th of July until further notice. However, it is business as usual for online, phone and email orders!
    Remember, all orders over the value of $49 will be dispatched free of freight with the vast majority on a next day delivery basis for Melbourne metro destinations!

  • [12:48pm]Due to the worrying upward trend in active cases in Victoria we have decided to close our showroom for general browsing. Our showroom will still be open for pre-paid/pre-arranged pick up orders between 7:30am and 5:30pm. As per our 27 April update, pick up orders are for web orders as well as pre-arranged over the phone orders. Please note it is important that you come in store after you have received either your pick up order ready confirmation email or SMS. There may be a delay in getting your order to you if you come beforehand.

  • [2:19pm]Our showroom is open for general walk-ins and browsing. We have implemented strict measures to keep both our staff and customers safe during this period. This includes markers, sanitisers, controlling the number of people in store at once and all the other important measures as advised by the health authorities.

  • [1:30pm]We are happy to announce that we are extending the pick-up window to between 8am and 5pm. Same conditions apply as per our previous (27 APR) update, so please make sure you receive confirmation that your order is ready before you come in store.

  • [9:00am]We have reintroduced in-store pick ups between 9am and 4:30pm for web orders as well as pre-arranged over the phone orders. Please note it is important that you come in store after you have received either your pick up order ready confirmation email or SMS. There may be a delay in getting your order to you if you come beforehand.

  • [7:00pm]As it looks like, as a country, we have all pulled our weight and have succesfully flattened the curve, we have decided to forego the split teams policy and bring back the to business to full staff capacity starting Monday the 27th of April.
    We will also make arrangements for zero-contact click & collect/Pick up orders available again. More details to follow. We will continue to have our showroom closed for general public access until restrictions are eased or we feel safe enough to do so.

  • [9:18am] As we are splitting our team into two to maintain social distancing and further lower the risk amongst our staff, we will not be able to offer pick ups until things settle down a bit. All orders will be delivery only. Exceptions will apply to big screen TVs (50"+) or orders that are logistically difficult to ship.

  • [2:25pm] We are investigating and trialling no-contact pick up options and should have something up and running pretty soon with details to follow shortly.
  • For the time being, we are once again allowing 30-day account orders to be submitted however we're also evaluating our account terms on a case-by-case basis. When you place an order, we will contact you to fill you in.

  • [4:45pm] We are making some changes to our Saturday trading hours. We will not be trading on Saturday until further notice. We are remaining open during our week day hours 07:30 - 5:30pm.
23 March 2020 Important notice
  • [5:13pm] Unfortunately, we will no longer be taking pickup orders or offering 30-day credit sales. Our showroom is also shut for the time being. All orders will be delivered and must be paid for before goods are shipped. To make the process easier, we’ll have additional staff on phones and in the warehouse.   • [08:50am] As per the latest state government update, Radio Parts will remain open. However, remember, if you plan to come down to visit our showroom, our West Melbourne store is open for pre-arranged and pre-paid orders only. There are no disruptions to online orders or deliveries.

  • [11:55pm] However there still has been no clarification from the Premier's office as to whether they will go it alone alone and continue with their non-essential services shutdown. We don't even know what is considered a non-essential service. So stay tuned. Hopefully we have more information tomorrow morning.
  • [9:50pm] The cabinet has announced their stage 1 plan which at this point in time does not introduce any changes to our policies outlined below. So our measures announced on the 20 March update will continue

  • From Monday the 23rd of March - our West Melbourne showroom will be restricted to pre-arranged and pre-paid pick up orders only. This includes web orders marked as pick up
  • All information/training sessions are postponed indefinitely
  • It is not all doom and gloom! At this stage there are almost negligible levels of disruption to our supply chain and inventory. We continue to carry one of Australia's largest range of products and will have extra hands on deck to work around the clock to make sure your orders are picked and packed and delivered quicker than ever

Can I visit your store?

Perhaps the biggest impact is that our West Melbourne showroom will be restricted to pre-arranged and paid pickup orders only from Monday 23rd of March.

During this period, we encourage all our customers to place their orders via our website.

We have now stopped all pickup orders and have put our showroom in a lockdown. For the time being we will operate as usual delivering orders to your door.

Our website is updated almost instantaneously with stock levels and pricing. Our full range of 10,000 products is available 24/7. Our ordering process is simple, quick and straight-forward.

I don't have an online account. How do I sign up?

Signing up for a Radio Parts online account is easy. Simply register at www.radioparts.com.au/login and choose "I am a new user and wish to register"

If you are an existing 30-day account or trade cardholder, apply for online access at www.radioparts.com.au/online-access using your account or trade card number and we will set you up with online access to your trade account immediately.

I prefer to place my order directly.

If you know what you want but would prefer to place your order directly with us, you have the following options:

  1. Call us on (03) 9321 8300
    - we will require payment over the phone before processing your order.
  2. Email us on sales@radioparts.com.au
    - we will require payment over the phone before processing your order.
  3. If you are an existing 30-day account holder, call or email, but remember, if you have the ability to produce purchase orders, you can simply email them to purchaseorders@radioparts.com.au for automatic processing.

How do I pay for my over-the-phone or email orders?

If you are not a 30-day account holder, we naturally require payment before despatching your order. We are happy to accept payments via credit card over the phone or direct bank transfers to either our PayID: accounts@radioparts.com.au or direct deposit (details will be shared when requesting payment).

Keep in mind that direct deposit payments can delay the processing of your orders, so we recommend either credit card over the phone or PayID for near real-time funds transfer (learn more about PayID here).

Can I pick up my order?

Please read our update dated March 24 above. We have now suspended all pick up orders and are going 100% delivery only.

We strongly discourage pickups during these hard times to best adhere to recommended social-distancing practices. We will add extra staff to ensure orders are picked and despatched in a timely fashion. The vast majority of our orders are shipped via express post, so the majority of Melbourne and metro cities are next day deliveries. For pick up orders, you must wait until you receive confirmation that your order is ready for collection. For web orders, you will receive an email, for over the phone order or email orders we will ask for a mobile number so we are able to keep you notified via SMS. Please follow and adhere to the signed instruction in the showroom and ensure that you have your order number ready to help our staff assist with your pickup.

How can I make changes to my order?

If you have already placed your order online or over the phone for pickup and need to make changes, please ensure that you call 03 9321 8300 prior to your arrival so that we can have it ready. If we haven’t been given sufficient time to make these changes, you will be required to wait outside until it is ready.

What happens if we can’t fulfil part of your order

As you should not come to collect your order before being notified that it is ready, your order will be checked by our despatch team. This means that if a problem arises in fulfilling any part of your order, one of our customer service staff will contact you to arrange an alternative.

I need to talk to my sales rep

There will be no disruption in speaking with your sales rep. They will be available via phone or email as usual and will attend to your enquiries. However, during this period, we will be avoiding visiting customers face-to-face.

I have an urgent question

As we've said, there will be extra people on board to answer your enquiries.

  3. click the Support button on the bottom right-hand side of our website to create a ticket which will be attended to by the first available team member.

We are diverting our showroom staff to customer support roles, so as to make sure no enquiry goes unanswered.

What about the training sessions?

Sorry to say, but we'll be postponing these for the foreseeable future. Our suppliers are disappointed that they don't get the chance to speak with you, but we'll have them back as soon as it makes sense. Keep an eye on www.radioparts.com.au/training for more information.

It's not only to protect the health and well-being of our own people but to also ensure we do our part to come on top of this crisis as a society.
